Well then, this blogging malarkey has been going well! It has been nearly a month since I posted last. To explain, I got side-tracked by several things; illness, exhaustion (from said illness), work, a few personal projects and laziness… yes, mostly laziness.
In the time that I was gone, Nintendo only went and announced Pikmin 3 Deluxe, coming to the Switch on the 30th October 2020. Yes, it’s another port, but it’s a welcome one in my eyes as while the original Wii U was fantastic, very few people experienced it the first time around.
You can watch the trailer here:
Like New Super Mario Bros U and Mario Kart 8 before it, the Deluxe version of Pikmin 3 will include all previously available downloadable content, along some additional side-story missions that can be played in co-op mode.
In a somewhat annoying, yet understandable move, Nintendo has removed the Wii U version of Pikmin 3 from the eShop. This is
definitely possibly to prevent people from purchasing a cheaper version of the game, because lets face it, even with the added features, £49.99 is a hefty price of admission for a game that has now been out for 7 years.
Psst, Nintendo, what happened to Pikmin 4, which was supposedly nearing completion in 2014, eh?
